For months now, fans have been waiting for the Calgary Flames to announce their Hometown Remix jersey, Fanatics follow up to the highly successful 'Reverse Retro' series that saw the return of both Blasty and the Pedestal jersey.
This was the first special jersey offered since the Fanatics takeover, and given the success of the 2004 throwback that was recently debuted on the ice, it's safe to say that fans were incredibly excited about the release.
On Monday, the Flames made it official, dropping the video for their HTR jersey, and as expected, there was plenty of gold, with fans on social media divided over their fourth jersey of the 2026/27 campaign.
Hometown Remix Pays Tribute to the Saddledome
Two things we knew about this jersey coming into the release were the tribute to the Saddledome and the prominence of gold, and with the Flames release on Monday, it's clear that both were featured prominently, resulting in a beautiful new jersey.
It’s in the roar of the C of Red. It’s in the memories beneath our iconic roof. It’s in one last ride, together. It’s the fabric of Calgary. Introducing the Hometown Remix jersey 🔥 pic.twitter.com/TpEEjPQvTd

At the bottom, we have the long speculated gold Saddledome tribute, but the excitement for this one is in the details in the numbers and the lettering, with the textured details giving this one a look that we've not quite seen from the Flames before.
Sure, the '04 throwback remains the Flames most popular new jersey this year, as it brings plenty of nostalgia on top of the brilliant look, but it's hard to deny that the HTR is a breath of fresh air for the organization. In doing media for this jersey, Matt Coronato was a clear fan as well, as he summed it up with a simple: 'wow'.

Ultimately, the full reveal of this uniform, especially with the gold pads we've seen from Dustin Wolf, will not truly happen until they're on the ice, but for now, this one will have its haters, but it's a fantastic new addition to the Flames jersey lineup.
