Caleb Malhotra: Available in 3 mock drafts, selected in all 3

Ideally, the position the Calgary Flames most need to fill at the NHL level is at centre, and with Mikael Backlund's career winding down, they'll need to find one, two, or potentially even three players to fill No. 11 and Nazem Kadri's void long-term. In the system, the organization already have Cole Reschny, Cullen Potter and Theo Stockselius, but the feeling is that none of them will turn into true superstars at the 1C position.

Obviously, that's not a guarantee, but if the team wanted to keep stacking centre's, then landing a player like Caleb Malhotra would certainly be a home run pick for Calgary. Given his ties to Vancouver, he's been mocked to the Canucks more often than not in recent times, but if the team get the opportunity at either Ivar Stenberg or Gavin McKenna, they may pass on him, and that could be to Calgary's benefit.

Out of 15 mock drafts, Malhotra was available in just 3, but in every scenario, the Flames selected him, and given his 6-foot-2 frame, the skills and the hockey IQ, it would be a no-brainer selection after he posted 13 goals and 26 points in 15 playoff games for the Brantford Bulldogs.
