The 2026/27 NHL season is going to be a significant one for the Calgary Flames, with the organization bidding farewell to an arena that's been their home since the 1980's, as the team pivot to Scotia Place after the upcoming campaign.
That's not the only reason why it's significant however, as the NHL will return to an 84-game slate for the first time since 1994, with confirmation on Wednesday that the Flames regular season will begin at home against the Seattle Kraken on October 1st.
Now, we know the entire schedule, with the team notably set to bid farewell to the SaddleDome on April 10th against the Vancouver Canucks, with several key matchups to take place throughout the 2026/27 campaign.

Throughout the schedule, the team will see some incredibly tough competition, but as for the Flames biggest rivalry, the only two home Battle of Alberta games will take place on March 3rd and 23rd, with the team closing things out at the Saddledome against Edmonton, Vegas, Los Angeles, Colorado and finally Vancouver over the final few weeks of the season.
We'll have much more can't miss coverage of the schedule in the coming days, but for now, the slate is set for the Flames final campaign in their iconic ScotiaBank Saddledome, and with the potential arrival of some young stars late in the year, it's going to be a ride over the final few months of the season.
