The Calgary Flames traded their No. 51 pick in order to move up and darft Tobias Trejbal, but with a third pick in the second round, they were on the board once again at No. 55 overall, looking to add their fifth prospect in this draft.

They've gone off the board with both of their second-round picks thus far, and at No. 55, they've done the exact same, adding right winger Alan Shaikhlislamov out of the MHL in Russia.

The 17-year-old is one of the latest birthdays in this draft, showing that he's got time on his side as he hopes to develop in Russia before coming to the NHL, but for the most part, he profiles as a bottom-six winger with a very good shot. This last season for Ufa Tolpar in the MHL, Shaikhlislamov posted 18 goals and 35 points in 31 games played, and with good size at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, he could be a very good player for the Flames in the future.

For the most part, Shaikhlislamov was ranked early in the 40's by many analysts, and while he's not one of the bigger names in this draft, the shot is fantastic with 38 goals in 77 games over the past two years, and although the team and fans will need to be patient, the upside is there for him to contribute at the NHL level one day.
