The Calgary Flames have brought back some iconic jerseys in recent years, with the most beloved of all being the return of 'Blasty', a jersey that became a fan favourite once again during Adidas' 'Reverse Retro' series.
Then, heading into the 2026/27 campaign, the team revealed a throwback from the 2004 season, the last year in which the Flames made the Stanley Cup Finals, commemorating that iconic campaign in their last season at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
However, we know now that Fanatics have taken over, a 'Hometown Remix' jersey will be arriving this season, and now, the Flames have teased one major detail that has been speculated over consistently on their social media.
Calgary Flames Tease Hometown Remix Jersey
We knew the jersey was coming, and it's yet to be unveiled, but one detail that has been speculated upon is the use of gold in the Flames last ever new jersey in the Saddledome, with many believing the jersey could feature a heavy amount of the unfamiliar colour.
As of right now, nothing has been confirmed, but on Wednesday, the team took to social media to tease their newest jersey, and unsurprisingly, the background of the photo is pure gold, with the speculation now likely being proven right.

Obviously, there's no telling from this post just how much gold there will be, but given that there's been no prior abundance of it on a Flames jersey, this signifies that the Flames newest jersey will be something very, very different.
Will the Hometown Remix Jersey be Saddledome Themed?
The other detail of this new jersey that's been talked about is the theme, and given it's the last year of one of hockey's most iconic arenas, it's safe to say that there will be a major Saddledome theme to the HTR jersey.
It has been confirmed that the Flames will first wear this jersey on November 6th when they take on the Anaheim Ducks at home, so this will be released soon, but as of right now, fans can continue to speculate on what this new look will be for the organization.
