While we knew the NCAA would be a source of excitement for Flames fans this year, but the CHL has been just as good, with second-round pick Chase Harrington flashing high-end skills and physicality as a potential star of the future. Last week, he posted his first hat-trick of the 2026/27 campaign, and while this week was a much quieter one, Harrington was still productive, adding two assists in two games this past week, with his stats now looking like this: 10GP, 6G, 11A, 17P, +14.

Not only that, but Harrington is the captain of one of the WHL's best teams, and if he keeps this pace up, there's a good chance we see him at a professional level in 2027/28.

Then there's Bode Laylin, who was acquired by the Calgary Hitmen, who added a goal and 4 assists in 4 games played this week, as he's now up to 7 points on the year, with 6 of those coming with the Hitmen post-trade.

Over in the OHL, Simon Katolicky continued his promising start to the new season, with a promising two games this past week, posting 2 goals and an assist in that time. Now, he's sitting at 5 goals and 8 points in 14 games played, and while he's not a sure thing, he could end up being a great steal as a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.

Beyond that, it was a quiet week for Flames prospects, with Joe Iginla going scoreless in three games while Mace'o Phillips went scoreless in two.

Other Flames prospects in the CHL:

Joe Iginla: 13GP, 3G, 3A, 6P, +1
Mace'o Phillips: 11GP, 1G, 3A, 4P, +6
Jakob Leander: 13GP, 0G, 2A, 2P, -4
