The Calgary Flames have been trending down in the past few years, and while optimism is high given their current commitment to a rebuild, something we've never seen in franchise history, things could change in an instant knowing this ownership group.
One thing that won't change is the outlook heading into the 2026/27 season, as the team are expected to struggle mightily, but with the future being so important, there are things that could happen this season that will help the organization and their long-term future.
So, while the team may not find many victories throughout the upcoming regular season, if they can accomplish the following five things, the organization will have taken key steps towards building a positive future.
