The Public Aren't yet as Confident in the Calgary Flames Front Office

However, for those not among the fanbase and following along every day, things don't look quite as good, with teams in the early stages of a rebuild often not looked upon too fondly among the wider NHL fans given the risk of the situation. That's evident when the draft and develop and vision come in at 2.7/5 and 2.5/5, both of which come in much lower than those among the fanbase with very high expectations for the future.

Given that the Flames don't have a standout star prospect/young player like Macklin Celebrini, Connor Bedard or Gavin McKenna, it makes sense that those fans who aren't watching the Flames aren't too aware of what's happening. That's one of the major challenges that lays ahead for Conroy is to get this team seen on a national level, and that will only happen when players like Cole Reschny and Carson Carels step up in the NHL or if the team can land a top-three pick in the NHL Draft.

Hopefully with the Flames fanbase showing confidence in Conroy's vision that those things will be sorted in the years to come, but for now, the Flames front office have a lot of work to do if they wish to get this team into their rebuild and out the other side with success.
