One position that the Flames found success in a year ago was the goaltending tandem of Dustin Wolf and Devin Cooley, with the Flames top young goaltending prospect teaming up with a veteran on a short, prove-it deal with Calgary. While Wolf took a step back in his first year as a starter, he was still a very good player at the position, and with Cooley putting together a career year after less than 10 previous NHL appearances, they became one of the most solid tandems in the league.

This year, nothing has changed for Calgary, and with the tandem of Kirill Zarubin and Arsenii Sergeev expected to get playing time in the American Hockey League, this is a team with one of the deepest groups in the league.
At the NHL level, the team will be hoping that Wolf and Cooley can once again perform well, and while the team in front of them will likely be the worst in Calgary Flames franchise history, they've got the talent to keep this game somewhat competitive throughout the season.
