The Calgary Flames don't have a whole lot to look forward too in 2026/27 beyond the play of some young talents, but with the opening of ScotiaPlace in 2027/28 and the expected arrival of their top tier prospects, the future holds plenty of excitement for the organization.
However, there's been plenty of excitement for fans wanting to bid farewell to the Scotiabank SaddleDome, with the team releasing a patch for all jerseys to commemorate their iconic building, with the team expected to release two new uniforms throughout the year.
NHL Reveal Information on the Hometown Remix Jerseys
The most exciting of those jerseys will be the 'Hometown Remix' jersey, part of a line from Fanatics that follows up on the wildly successful 'Reverse Retro' lines from Adidas that saw the Flames release a Blasty throwback to go along with a new Pedestal jersey, reviving two of the most iconic jerseys in franchise history.
What we already know about the Hometown Remix is that the jersey will be red and will pay tribute to the Saddledome, but beyond that there have been very few details, until now. On Tuesday, Fanatics took to social media to reveal the official announcement on the series, and while release details haven't yet become official, the NHL have confirmed that the information will be revealed shortly after the 2026/27 regular season begins.

Unfortunately, there's no details for Flames fans specifically involved in this announcement, but it's the first formal announcement for Fanatics, so for Flames fans holding out for the jersey, you will need to wait until early in the season when these drop, giving those fans something to look forward too in 2026/27.
Flames set to Unveil two Jerseys in 2026/27
However, that's not the only new sweater the Flames will be launching this season, as there are reports they will also be doing a 2004 throwback/inspired jersey in the final year of the Saddledome, commemorating what, for many under the age of 30/35 was the best year in the history of the franchise.
Given all of this, Flames fans should have plenty to look forward to in the upcoming season to commemorate the franchise and their time in their iconic building, so whether it's the rumored '04 throwback or the 'Hometown Remix' that will reportedly pay tribute to the 'Dome over the past 40 years, there's going to be a jersey for Flames fans to pick up in the year ahead.
