14. Theo Stockselius, C
Calgary Flames fans have been raving about their two first-round picks from 2025, and that often means that second-round pick Theo Stockselius goes heavily underrated, despite having immense potential for the future. His 2025/26 season was interupted by injuries, but when healthy he dominated the junior level in Sweden, posting 4 goals and 16 points in 11 games played.
He failed to have that same impact when playing against senior competition, and that means his 2026/27 campaign will be critical to his long-term development, with many in the organization hoping he will come to North America to join the Calgary Hitmen in the WHL. With good size at 6-foot-3, it's expected that Stockselius will be able to stand up to the NHL game in terms of physicality, and while he'll definitely have to improve on some areas of his game, given how crafty he is as a playmaker and in transition, the hope is that he can be a middle-six player in the NHL for a long time.
13. Abram Wiebe, LHD
Abram Wiebe was the surprise piece in the Rasmus Andersson to Vegas trade, and while there was little hype around him, the production at North Dakota along with the physical tools made him a highly intriguing player. Not long after finishing his season, Wiebe made his way to the NHL, appearing in four games for the Flames, and while he didn't effect the scoresheet, he made some solid plays as he quickly made the adjustment to the NHL competition.
It's unclear right now whether or not he'll start in the NHL next season or get some time in the AHL, but at 22-years-old, the Flames have some time to be patient with him. At NDU, Wiebe had a combined 53 points in 78 games over the past two seasons, and while he's never going to be a driver of offense in the NHL, if he can be a consistent contributor at both ends of the ice, the Flames will be thrilled moving forward.
