12. Arsenii Sergeev, G
While the Calgary Flames are set in net for years to come with Dustin Wolf and Devin Cooley, they've got some very good prospects in the system as well that could play key roles moving forward. One of the more exciting players in the system is Arsenii Sergeev, who made his NHL debut in the final regular season game of the year after splitting time throughout 2025/26 in the ECHL and the AHL.
In his debut, Sergeev saw 28 shots, saving 27 of them for a .964 save percentage, and while he may never be a star in the NHL, he showed flashes of being a very capable netminder at the highest level. At 23-years-old, Sergeev has a very bright future, and while he will likely be down in the AHL for a few years to come, the team have the patience to develop him into their potential long-term backup behind Wolf.
11. Andrew Basha, F
Andrew Basha was expected to be a first-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, but somehow, the Flames landed him at pick No. 41 instead, adding yet another potential star of the future out of Western Canada. The Calgary native has starred for the Medicine Hat Tigers, and while he only saw limited time in 27 games with the Wranglers in 2025/26, he showed solid potential for the future.
When he returned to Medicine Hat, not only did Basha dominate with 18 goals and 50 points in 30 games plus 3 goals and 21 points in 15 playoff games, but he got an extended run at centre as well. With good size, a great shot and all the skills one would need to be a good player at the next level, and while he's expected to take a little while longer to develop in the AHL during the 2026/27 season, the future looks very promising for the Calgary native.
