Ranking the Ideal Outcome for the Calgary Flames at No. 6 Overall in the 2026 NHL Draft

The first round of the 2026 NHL Draft is less than 10 days away, and for the Calgary Flames that hold eight picks in the first 70 overall selections, there's a chance that this could be a historic night for the franchise.

The crown jewel of those picks is the No. 6 overall pick, and while it's not the No. 1 that many fans hoped to land heading into the 2025/26 campaign, with the depth of high end talent, there's going to be a good player available. There's levels to the caliber of player that could be available however, and given how unpredictable the first round is shaking up to be, there are many different possible scenarios for the Flames.

So today we are going to take a look into those outcomes, and rank the possibilities for the Flames in terms of how we would feel that plays into the future of the organization.
