It's been no secret for a while that the Calgary Flames are rebuilding, and after finally being able to say the word publicly, the team have gone full steam ahead under General Manager Craig Conroy.
In his three years as GM, Conroy has helped transform the Flames scouting department and their prospect group, and after adding nine interesting names in the draft, this group is starting to look deeper than ever.
Sure, not all of them will make it to the NHL, but on the back of the 2026 NHL Draft, let's take a look at and rank the Flames current top-25 players under 23 years of age in the organization.
Honourable mentions: Joe Iginla, Simon Katolicky, Luke Misa, Max Curran, Axel Hurtig, Yegor Yegorov, Bode Laylin.
25. LHD Eric Jamieson
The Calgary Flames prospect pool is very, very deep, because they have players that very few fans are talking about with NHL potential, and one of those is former sixth-round pick Eric Jamieson. The Calgary native spent three full seasons with the Everett Silvertips before heading to the University of Denver, and in 2025/26 he showed up in a big way, posting 7 goals and 18 points in 43 games played for the NCAA Champions.
He's never been a dominant offensive force, but Jamieson can get it done on both ends of the ice, and at 6-foot-3, he's certainly a commanding presence that has NHL games in his future. At 20-years-old, there's plenty of time for him to get there, and after another NCAA season in 2026/27, don't be shocked to see him playing significant minutes for the Calgary Wranglers not long after.
