22. RW Trevor Hoskin

Much of the criticism about the Flames lately has been their focus on defense in building out their core, and while there's no clear, high-end, potential superstar centres, the team do have some intriguing young wingers. One that could surprise many is former fourth-round pick Trevor Hoskin, who has done nothing but produce in his career thus far, tallying a combined 74 points in 70 games between Niagara University and Merrimack College in the past two years.

There are still question marks about his potential at the next level, but given that production it's hard to ignore the 6-foot-1, 175 pound winger, and if he can up that production in his junior year, there's a chance he may be able to force his way into the Flames one day, but for now, only time will tell.

21. C Egor Barabanov

The first of the Flames 2026 NHL Draft class on this list, and Egor Barabanov may be on the way to the NHL (or at least the AHL) for the organization much quicker than most No. 100 overall selections. That is because as a double overage entry into the draft, he is already 20-years-old, and after a dominant season with the Saginaw Spirit where he posted 91 points in 68 games played, he could be a future NHLer for the Flames.

It's hard to see how he fell so far too, as Barabanov has good size at 6-foot-0, 180 pounds, and if the Flames are lucky, this is simply the case of a player that was just a late bloomer, with the hopes that continues. Obviously, there's no guarantees, but as the Flames look to get younger, this is the type of player they will give opportunities too, and based on 2025/26, he may be ready to capitalize.
