14. C Theo Stockselius

In 2025, the Flames drafted two centres in the first-round, but not content with his work, Craig Conroy targeted another in the second-round, landing intriguing Swedish centre Theo Stockselius. While he will need to fill out his 6-foot-3 frame, the size is impressive for the 18-year-old, and after posting 9 goals and 20 points in 11 playoff games last year at the junior level, it's easy to see why the Flames were excited about his game.

Unfortunately, last season was riddled with injuries for Stockselius, but when healthy, he showed the creativity and the hockey IQ that made the Flames take him early in the second round. Currently, his rights are owned by the Calgary Hitmen in the WHL, and while we may not see him there in the near future, it would be exciting to get a look at the rising star who could become a potential middle-six option for the Flames one day.

13. RHD Henry Mews

The Calgary Flames blue line has only improved under Craig Conroy, and while the top-four of Nemec, Bahl, Parekh and Whitecloud is solid, it's going to get even better in the years to come. Carson Carels is a big reason for that, but former third-round pick Henry Mews can't be ignored either, as the Ottawa native has the potential to be a huge star in his own right.

In his last OHL season, Mews posted 14 goals and 82 points in 68 games played, and while his NCAA freshman year came to an end early in 2025/26 due to injury, he showed great promise with 9 assists in 10 games played. He will be back at some point in 2026/27, and while the injury has slowed his progression to the NHL level, if the team can be patient with the 20-year-old, he'll force the front office into some major decisions about this blue line.
