The Calgary Flames are gearing up for a big time off-season, and after two seemingly successful drafts in a row for Craig Conroy, the team will try and add even more talent to a growing prospect pool.
Most of the focus this summer is on the draft and the development of the Flames young core moving forward, but that doesn't mean that Conroy and the front office will be sitting on their hands all off-season long. Given that they won't be active in free agency and are likely to be sellers, rather than buyers in any trade scenario, the only way the Flames may look to get better this off-season is via the offer sheet, something we haven't seen in the NHL in a few summers.
However, there are some very solid targets out there, and today, we'll look into a few realistic players that Conroy and the Flames could look to add this summer as the rebuild marches on.
