What Will the Flames Fourth Line Look Like?

In previous years, the Calgary Flames have been left in the past by running out a fourth line with very limited talented, instead focusing on physicality as in years gone by. Unfortunately, that's led to a slow, clunky fourth-line that hasn't contributed too much, but in 2026/27, things are shaping up to be rather different.

Right now, both Martin Pospisil and Adam Klapka are locked in on the fourth line, but beyond that, there's plenty of question marks, with the likes of Maxim Tsyplakov and Yegor Sharangovich potentially being options, and with Tyson Gross and Samuel Honzek both battling for roster spots, things are starting to get very crowded.

Sure, it's not the most important spot in the Flames lineup, but given valuable minutes on the fourth line, it's a decision that could have an effect on the future of the organization, so look for a very competitive battle to fill out the fourth line heading into 2026/27.
