2. Mace'o Phillips Could be a Fan Favourite in Calgary
While there was plenty of talk about the Flames forward group heading into the game, it was defenseman Mace'o Phillips who stole the show, as he got the crowd going with a dominant fight in the first period before making sure the crowd were into the game.

Not only that, but the 6-foot-6, 235 pound defenseman was a physical threat throughout the game, making an impact with his body while also getting invovled offensively, and if he can develop that side of his game, he could be a long-term third pairing in Calgary.
This season, the 19-year-old will play for the Medicine Hat Tigers, and if Flames fans can check him out, they're encouraged to do so, as he has the potential to be a very fun difference maker at the professional level.
