1. Zayne Parekh Looks Dynamic
In our first look at Zayne Parekh on Sunday, the highly touted young defensive prospect looked fantastic against Seattle, and with NHL talent around him on Tuesday, he took it to another level. We all know by now that Parekh is dynamic on the puck and his skating is second to none, but what impressed most in this was his improved physicality, as he won several puck battles and even threw the body around, something fans were concerned about after 2025/26.
On the puck though, Parekh was gliding through the offensive zone and setting his teammates up time and time again, and clearly, as Craig Conroy recently stated, the confidence and even cockiness in the young star is back.
With two assists on the night, Parekh is growing game by game, and as mentioned, it's still pre-season, but with PP1 time and a consistent partner this year, it could be the season we see the 20-year-old break out on the national stage.
