The Calgary Flames have been one of the NHL's most active teams in the trade market in recent years, making 21 total trades since Craig Conroy took over as General Manager. As a result, the team have gone from a middling, ageing core to a team that's showing great signs for the future, and with some of their top prospects yet to even hit the NHL along with significant draft capital, there's reason for hope in this rebuild.
There's still some veterans on this team, and while Mikael Backlund won't be traded and Jonathan Huberdeau simply can't be traded, they've still got some assets that need to be dealt with. With the off-season rapidly approaching as the Conference Finals get underway, NHL Insider Frank Seravalli has released his first list of trade candidates, naming the top-25 names to watch this summer.

Six goalies on the board, including #LGRW Sebastian Cossa. Pair of young forwards. Impact defensemen.
Buckle up. A most interesting offseason beckons:https://t.co/jSq7fvk3kL
Obviously, there were multiple Calgary Flames on the list, with the first being Blake Coleman, who Seravalli ranked seventh on his list behind the likes of Morgan Rielly, Jordan Kyrou and Jake DeBrusk. This past season, Coleman posted 20 goals and 35 points in 69 games played, and with a +12 differential on the fourth worst team in the National Hockey League, he showed his true value to the organization.
Like Mackenzie Weegar, Nazem Kadri and Rasmus Andersson, it's not a desire to move Coleman that motivates this, but rather the need, as he is a very popular player both in Calgary and in the Flames locker room.
The other player on the list is a little more intriguing, as Seravalli names Morgan Frost 21st on his list of top trade candidates, with the Flames seemingly being forced into a massive decision on the young centre. At 27-years of age, Frost has immense potential, and that was on full display late in the season as he posted 9 goals and 14 points over the final 21 games of the season, giving Flames hope they'd found a long-term middle-six centre.
However, this comes on the back of much inconsistency for the former Flyers first-round draft pick, and if the Flames don't see him as a long-term fit, they could likely get great value for him this off-season. Ultimately, trading Coleman this summer is a given for the Flames, as they could likely land a very good draft pick for the veteran winger, and while Frost's future is a little more uncertain, they're both names to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
