Team Slovakia
While Martin Pospisil didn't play much through the 2025/26 regular season for the Flames, this is the second time he's represented Team Slovakia in the past 12 months, and for some reason, he takes his game to another level when he pulls on that sweater.
And Slovakia has restored Slovakia's three-goal advantage. 4-1.

Playing alongside his brother Kristian, the Pospisil's have been dominant for a Slovakia team with 3 wins and an OT win in four games played, with Martin currently posting a +2 differential between 1 goal and 3 assists in those four games. While lacking NHL level superstars all over the ice, Slovakia have been consistently dominant in this tournament, and with Pospisil playing a great leadership role and producing, they've managed to get the best out of the young Flames forward.
Team Canada
Last but not least is another mid-season pickup for the Flames, with Zach Whitecloud being the lone representitive for Team Canada at the tournament. Thus far, the Canadians have been highly impressive, leading Group B with a 3-1-0-0 record, despite the major scare that saw them go to overtime against Norway.
Paired up with Edmonton's Evan Bouchard for much of the tournament Whitecloud has been good, but thus far he's struggled to effect the score sheet, with no points and a +0 differential through four games thus far. Not everyone needs to score to impact the team, and Whitecloud's steady defense alongside Bouchard (1 goal, 4 points) has made them the perfect pairing as Canada chase gold to avenge their loss back at the 2026 Olympic Games.
