The Calgary Flames 2026/27 regular season is now just seven days away, and after some promising showings in the pre-season thus far, excitement is growing in Calgary for the final season at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Not only that, but young players are ready to step up, and for an organization now seemingly committed to a rebuild, the optimism around the future of this franchise is improving more by the year.
While there's players like Matvei Gridin, Matt Coronato and Zayne Parekh ready to step up in Calgary, it's this deep, talented prospect pool that's getting fans more excited than anything, and towards the end of 2026/27, many are set to arrive in Calgary.
So, while we won't see many of them play in the league until at least the spring, there's plenty of opportunities to catch the future of the Flames outside of the NHL, and today, we'll take a look at when the regular season action kicks off for many prospects in the Flames organization.
