NCAA
While the WHL and Canada as a whole is where the Flames have drafted from most under Craig Conroy, a majority of those players are now heading to the NCAA and the world of college hockey. Not only is it a step up in competition, but it's a step up in age as well, and for the most part, players coming out of college are much more pro-ready.
That doesn't mean that all of these players will hit the ground running in the NHL immediately, but given the challenge that the NCAA represents, players will certainly be prepared. This is where the majority of the Flames top prospects will be for 2026/27, with none of them yet beginning play, so let's take a look at when that will happen.
