C Cole Reschny

Cole Reschny spent the 2025/26 season at North Dakota, and after starring there and featuring at the World Juniors with Canada, he's set for another stellar season before potentially making his way to the NHL at seasons end. Reschny however will begin the season at North Dakota alongside a host of future NHLers including Carson Carels, and after finding his groove to end 2025/26 with NDU, big things are expected of him as he's set to play the first line centre role.

Across 36 games played at NDU, Reschny posted 6 goals and 35 points with a +13 differential, and as he matures and expands on his impressive two-way game, he's going to get even better. At the Flames recent development camp, Reschny stood out to many, with the overwhelming feeling being that he's NHL ready right now, but with another year under his belt, he should arrive in the final games of the Saddledome ready to be the long-term 2C for the organization.

F Cullen Potter

Last season started so promisingly for Cullen Potter at Arizona State, and after going on a red-hot run to get his totals up to 12 goals and 26 points in 24 games, he unfortunately suffered a season ending injury. He's back now after recent (and impressive) participation in the Flames Development Camp, and in 2026/27 he'll have a new home, as Potter is set to join Jack Hextall at Michigan State.

This is going to be one of the most star studded rosters in all of college hockey, so while Potter may have to battle for quality ice time, with so much talent around him, he's going to be forced to take his game to another level. Whether he's a centre or a winger at the next level, only time will tell, but with his plan to push for an NHL spot after the upcoming college season, expect big things from him in 2026/27.
