C Theo Stockselius
Last year, Theo Stockselius was a second-round pick of the Flames, and while many saw the pick as a reach at the time, he's clearly got the physical capabilities and the hockey IQ to be a contributor at the professional level. Unfortunately for the Flames, it may be a while until we see the 18-year-old at the pro level in North America, but at 6-foot-3, he's got the size to be able to compete for a long time to come.
Right now, he's expected to remain in Sweden for the 2026/27 campaign, and after making 16 appearances in the SHL with Djurgardens IF a year ago, it's likely that he's going to be competing against men for the majority of the season. However, his contract rights were acquired by the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL, and while he may not make the jump to North America next season, we should see him with either the Wranglers or the Hitmen by the 2027/28 season.
C Tyson Gross
Tyson Gross was a name on no one's radar in Calgary this past season, but after signing with the team as a college free agent, he quickly made the jump to the National Hockey League late in the regular season. In 6 games, the 23-year-old Calgary native showed immense promise, and while he only had one goal in that time, he also had several taken away, showing that he has the ability to contribute at the NHL level.
On top of that, he's fantastic in the face off circle, and although his ceiling is that of a 4C in the NHL, there's plenty of value in a player like that, similiar to the likes of Adam Henrique or a Derek Ryan. Gross' ceiling isn't that high in the NHL, but given that he's young and capable of contributing, he should be given a genuine shot this year as a 4C specialist that can chip in on the scoresheet for the Flames.
