Through seven games in 2026/27, the Calgary Flames were sitting at 1-6-0, and even on the second night of a back-to-back, many believed the Carolina Hurricanes would dominate the rebuilding squad at home.

However, to the surprise of the entire NHL, the Flames battled hard, and with the score tied 2-2 down the stretch in the third period, Calgary had every opportunity to come away with their second victory of the campaign.

The biggest positive for Calgary in this one? The youth.
