Good morning Calgary Flames fans!

TJ Brodie was “re-introduced” to Flames fans last night.  A restricted free agent at the end of the 2014-15 season, the Flame For Thought family has been asked when/if they hope to see Mr. Brodie re-signed.  Thus far, it is unanimous that TJ should be signed before the start of the 2014-15 season.  Please have your say today by voting in the poll.

The same question about when/if the Flame For Thought family hoped the Calgary Flames should re-sign Mikael Backlund was asked.  At this point, 54% of the family wants to see how Backlund fares this season before extending his contract.

Tonight’s re-introduction article will be about Jonas Hiller.  In case you are wondering about the rhyme and reason I am using to work through the roster, I’m going alphabetically through the roster but alternating between forwards, defensemen, and goalies.

The NHL announced that the San Jose Sharks and LA Kings will be playing an outdoor game next season.  Does adding the “outdoor” aspect into a game (not including your Calgary Flames) do anything for you?  For previous outdoor games, I find myself trying to make sure I catch a glimpse of the game on TV.  Usually after watching a few minutes and finding the camera angles are so distant and different than what I am used to, I change the channel.

Checking in on Canada’s World Juniors, the Canadian team defeated Russia 5-2.  Sam Bennett did not play but Morgan Klimchuk drew into the lineup.  The Calgary Flames twitter account nicely sums up Klimchuk’s night.  Canada and Russia play each other again tonight.

Have a great Thursday Flames fans!
