Good morning Calgary Flames fans! Imagine waking up this morning knowing you are auditioning for a new role in your company. Imagine if being unsuccessful meant being shipped 3,266 Kilometres away!
This morning when 1st overall draft pick Sam Bennett, Boston College standout Johnny Gaudreau and training camp standout Josh Jooris eat their Wheaties, that is the reality they face. Mr. Bennett faces a shorter flight than Gaudreau and Jooris but none of these young men want a call from their travel agent.
For every young man trying to earn a job, there is a veteran attempting dearly to hold onto their job. It’s Saturday morning so I don’t want to get to deep so instead I will post this response to a Flame For Thought tweet.
The final preseason game goes tonight at 6PM with the final roster for the October 8th season opener having to be submitted to the league on Tuesday by 3PM local time.
I hope to see the 3 “B’s” – – Backlund, Bennett, Bouma – – as starting centers opening night joining Sean Monahan down the middle. More than that, I will hope to see the featured player in the following ISEE segment, in the October 8 regular season opener.

Have a great day Flames fans!
