Good morning Calgary Flames fans! It’s another early game day for us west-coasters. Let’s take a look at some Flames news.

The Calgary Flames will continue their road-trip with a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight. These two teams have met one other time this season in December. Tampa took that one 6-3 (yikes). The Flames were actually on a six-game win streak right before that embarrassing loss to Tampa.

I was actually at that game and I felt confident since the Flames were on a six-game win streak. I’ve been to another game since that and both times the Flames have lost. So I’ve now decided that I’m bad luck.

Good thing about that game though is that the Flames went 2/4 on the powerplay. Bad thing is that they let in a short-handed goal against as well.

Bad news for the Flames is that the Lightning have won five of their last seven and haven’t lost a game in regulation in ten games. This will definitely be a challenge for the Flames and if they can have good push early on and capitalize on their powerplay, they could handle the Lightning.

The Flames will need a lot of offensive push early on in this game to handle the Lightning.

Now, since the Flames are in Tampa, they decided to have some fun with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Now, if Brian Elliott can use this newfound basketball confidence in tonight’s game, that’d be very much appreciated…
