Unsurprisingly, the 2026 IIHF World Championship has been full of chaos, surprise and drama, and on Sunday, we'll see four teams battle it out to crown first, second, third and fourth place following the semifinals action on Saturday.
Heading into that game, two Calgary Flames were set to collide with Team Canada and Zach Whitecloud battling Olli Maatta and Team Finland, and in an upset, it was the latter that came out on top 4-2.

As a result of the upset win, it will be Finland and Maatta to take on Switzerland for gold after the home team cruised to a 6-0 victory over Norway, in what may be an incredibly competitive gold medal matchup.

As for Canada, they'll once again end an international tournament on a sour note, and afte a lackluster performance on Saturday, they'll look to end with the consolation prize of a gold medal against the surprise Norway team that finally met thier match against the Swiss.
Right now, all we can guarantee is that one member of the Calgary Flames will take home a medal, and if Canada takes care of business, than will mean that two of the five Flames that went to Switzerland will be coming home with some hardware.
