Jamie Drysdale was once a top prospect in the Anaheim Ducks system, but in the trade that saw them land Cutter Gauthier, the talented blue liner is now making a name for himself with the Philadelphia Flyers. Oer his first 105 games with the Ducks, Drysdale tallied 7 goals and 40 points, but then, he went through several injury plagued campaigns that slowed down his production.

Then, the move to Philadelphia that has reinvigorated his career, as he has appeared in 148 games over his first two full seasons with the team, tallying 15 goals and 52 points in that time. While Drysdale may never be a 70-point player at the NHL level, he's got the talent to be a contributor for a long time to come, but at 24-years of age, there's no telling what his potential is.

Simon Edvinsson (2021)

Back in 2021, it was once again the Detroit Red Wings on the board at No. 6, and this time, they went with Swedish defenseman Simon Edvinsson, who hit the ground running quickly after arriving in North America. With 27 points in 52 games of his first AHL season, hopes were high, but unfortunately, he stalled at the NHL level, struggling to push himself into a full-time role with the Red Wings.

Over the past few seasons however, he's established himself as a very consistent player, making 150 appearances in that time while posting 16 goals and 56 points, and while the ceiling isn't high, he's going to be a contributor for a long time to come in Detroit.

Cody Glass (2017)

Cody Glass is the second oldest player on this list, and while he's not been consistent throughout his career, he's shown that he can be a very good player in the NHL and put up points when in a role that dictates as such. Originally drafted by the Golden Knights, Glass has played in Vegas, Nashville, Pittsburgh and most recently New Jersey, appearing in 322 career games thus far.

While he likely isn't going to ever be a high end player, but with a combined 55 points between Pittsburgh and New Jersey since the start of 2024/25, he's more than reliable in his given role. If the Flames were to land a solid NHLer, it would be a positive, but given the expectations for the team heading into last season, it's safe to say that someone like Glass would be a letdown at No. 6 overall.
